WORKSHOP 1   – FOOD FOR HEALTH and HEALING

The ultimate aim is to give to you the knowledge, the skills and most of all the enthusiasm to change your life, how you feel, how you look, how you perform and all this though food and its relationship with ones health

WHAT IS COVERED IN THE COURSE

I will cover the different food groups, their functions in the body, and optimum choices, and discuss the benefits and downside to different eating plans and diets. I will cover the health problems such as weight gain and diabetes and how to take steps to avoid these illnesses. Covered also will be fats, the good, the bad, and the ugly, especially the essential fatty acids, their role in health in such areas as depression learning and behaviour and heart disease. What are the best sources and how to incorporate them in to your diet?

We will look at vitamins and minerals, the importance of fruit and vegetable as a source, raw food, and how beneficial it is to our health, in preventing disease and fighting serious illness.

The other food groups and water will be looked at also together with some time on how to read labels, discovering the hidden dangers in our foods.

Throughout the course the emphasis will be on promoting optimum health and in finding ways to prevent and treat illness in a natural and holistic manor using nutrition, dietary changes and effective supplements.

I will be cooking meals on the day and giving you the opportunity to taste some great healthy foods and show you how to make small changes to your diet.  You will receive a handout, recipes and other resources also.

WORKSHOP 3   – STAYING HEALTHY WITH NUTRITION

The ultimate aim is to give to you the knowledge, the skills and most of all the enthusiasm to change your life, how you feel, how you look, how you perform and all this though food and its relationship with ones health. I hope that after these classes you will have acquired a greater understanding of food, and of health and how closely related these are. How by following some simple guidelines, you can make a difference to your health, and to your life.

WHAT IS COVERED IN THE COURSE

WORKSHOP 4 – OPTIMUM HEART HEALTH

This workshop that I run is suitable for anyone with an interest in living with or preventing heart disease, or in just promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The objective of the day is for people to gain an in depth understanding of how to keep your heart and cardiovascular system in good shape, now and long into the future.

  • Learn how heart disease actually develops and how specific foods can nourish and protect your heart.
  • Learn how to make these foods part of your daily diet, thus offering protection to the whole family.
  • Understand the cholesterol issue, raised blood pressure, arteriosclerosis and which foods can address these issues.
  • Learn what elements damage heart tissue and how to neutralise and avoid these.
  • If you smoke or are exposed to other pollutants as part of your work or lifestyle learn how you can protect yourself.
  • Get great Recipes, Demonstrations, Recommended Books and Web sites

    1. I will have workshops coming up in new year specifically on weight I will b focusing on a low carb approach. These are half day usually on a sat and cost €50 to include full notes and tasting preparation of food. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks Erina
